The AT&T Mobility Consumer eCommerce Team is responsible for AT&Ts online presence for selling products and services. This industry leading telecom site has previously ranked in the top five retail web sites visited on both Black Friday and Cyber Monday. We support millions of UVs every month and enable a crucial channel for AT&T.

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer for the Shared Services development team. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving our site as we continue to innovate and drive more sales through our channel. Primary responsibilities include:

Responsibilities:

Design and develop Java software components for the Shared Services Interface abstraction layer in a fast paced multidisciplinary environment.
Lead on discrete development projects and should take complete ownership of technical solution.
Develop accurate level of effort estimates, and manage task schedules.
Suggest innovative solutions to business problems/processes that leverage technology to provide marketing differentiation, performance improvements, and better user experiences.
Provide direction and mentoring to junior developers.
Interact well with other technical team leaders such as architects, testing, analysts, and release managers as a lead member of the development team in order to accomplish the business goal.

Required Skills:

U.S. citizen or permanent resident or other protected individual as defined in 8 U.S.C. Sec 1324(b)(3). We do not sponsor individuals for H Visas for this position.
Strong server-side Java programming experience.
5 years of J2EE and Java programming experience
5 years of Unix experience
Strong understanding of Java programming best practices
Strong understanding of distributed computing concepts
Strong object oriented design and design patterns experience
Strong understanding of SDLC processes and methodologies
5 years of relational database SQL
5 years of extensive XML/XSD design and implementation experience
5 years of extensive experience with SOAP and Web Services
Strong analytical, problem solving, and production diagnostic skills.

Additional skills preferred:

ATG Commerce is a plus
Oracle 10G database working experience
eCommerce application development experience
Experience w/ Java Application Servers, preferably Web Logic Server
Industry experience in Telecom/Wireless

Education

BS degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering/Engineering preferred
MS degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering/Engineering or equivalent technical degree preferred
